Terms of Service

Forge is a formation app designed for Christian men ages 18 and older who are seeking to build discipline, daily practice, and resilience in their recovery from pornography use. You must be at least 18 years old to use Forge. If you are under 18, please do not use this app.

This is important.

Forge provides an AI-powered coach, guided breathing exercises, scripture meditations, relapse recovery tools, and self-reflection prompts. These features are intended for personal formation and peer-style support. They are not:

• Medical advice
• Mental health treatment
• Clinical therapy
• Spiritual direction from a licensed minister or priest
• Substance-use disorder treatment
• A substitute for professional care

If you are in crisis, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or struggling with severe mental health issues, please contact a qualified professional or call a crisis line (in the US: 988). If you have concerns about compulsive behavior that may meet clinical criteria for addiction, seek help from a licensed therapist or physician.

The AI coach in Forge is powered by Anthropic's Claude. It is not a human, not a pastor, not a therapist, and not a doctor. Its responses are generated by a language model and may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate. Use your own judgment.

Forge requires you to sign in with your Apple ID before using the app's core features. Sign in with Apple is privacy-preserving — Apple manages your credentials, and you can use Apple's email relay if you prefer not to share your real email.

Your data is stored in our encrypted database and synced across your devices. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Forge offers two subscription options:

• Monthly: billed monthly through your Apple ID
• Annual: billed annually through your Apple ID

Both subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Founding members may receive introductory pricing on the annual subscription for their first year — see the founding offer on our website for details.

Billing and renewal

• All payments are handled by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.

Refunds

Refunds are processed by Apple according to their refund policy. Forge is not able to issue refunds directly. You may request a refund through your Apple account.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices in the future. Existing annual subscribers will keep their current price until their next renewal. We will notify you in advance of any price change affecting you.

You agree not to:

• Use Forge for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Attempt to abuse the AI coach (for example, by trying to make it say harmful or inappropriate things)
• Use Forge to harm yourself or others
• Impersonate another person
• Use Forge's content to create competing products

All content in Forge — including the app design, branding, written copy, scripture selections, verse curations, AI coach prompts, and graphics — is owned by Forge App LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may use Forge for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of Forge without our written permission.

Bible verses referenced in Forge are from the public domain or used under fair-use for devotional purposes.

The AI coach is a conversational tool that uses Anthropic's Claude. We curate the system prompts to guide it toward pastoral, formation-focused responses, but we cannot guarantee:

• The theological accuracy of every response
• That the coach will respond perfectly in every situation
• That the coach will understand every nuance of your situation
• That the coach is always available (the API may have outages)

If the AI coach ever gives you advice that conflicts with your tradition's teaching, your pastor, your therapist, or your own conscience, please defer to those human sources. The coach is a companion, not an authority.

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• Forge will always be available or error-free
• The AI coach will always produce accurate or helpful responses
• Forge will meet all of your needs
• Your data will never be lost (though we take reasonable precautions)

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Forge App LLC and its founders, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Forge. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of Forge will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

This limitation does not apply to liability we cannot limit by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in the app. Your continued use of Forge after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

You can stop using Forge at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to Forge if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Forge will be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that requires a different governing law or forum, that local law governs to the extent required.
